IMPORTANT NOTICE

TESTNET SOFTWARE – UNAUDITED – USE AT YOUR OWN RISK

Ghostcoin and all related systems are experimental and currently operating in testnet or beta form. By using any part of the Ghostcoin ecosystem, you acknowledge and accept that you are interacting with unaudited, early-stage software.

The following are experimental and unaudited:

  • Ghostcoin and the GHOST token
  • Ghost Protocol and all commit and reveal mechanisms
  • Ghostcoin L1 blockchain and validator network
  • Revels and one-time content systems
  • All smart contracts, including vaults, verifiers, trees, and registries
  • Bridges, relayers, APIs, interfaces, and supporting infrastructure

You understand and agree that:

  • No third-party security audits have been completed
  • Bugs, vulnerabilities, or failures may exist
  • You may lose some or all funds, tokens, vouchers, or data
  • Transactions are irreversible
  • Network resets, changes, or shutdowns may occur
  • Lost Phantom Keys, secrets, or assets cannot be recovered
  • No guarantees are made regarding security, availability, or correctness

By using Ghostcoin, you accept full responsibility for all risks and losses.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ghostcoin.com or any related applications, tools, or smart contracts, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.

2. Nature of the Service

Ghostcoin provides cryptographic tools and blockchain-based mechanisms that allow users to commit and reveal value or data using non-custodial, privacy-preserving techniques.

Ghostcoin does not:

  • Hold custody of user funds or assets
  • Store Phantom Keys, secrets, or committed data
  • Maintain user accounts or recovery systems
  • Act as an intermediary, escrow, or financial institution

You retain full control and full responsibility at all times.

3. Use at Your Own Risk

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • Blockchain and cryptographic systems carry inherent risk
  • Zero-knowledge systems are complex and may behave unexpectedly
  • You are solely responsible for securing your wallet, Phantom Keys, and devices
  • Loss of a Phantom Key results in permanent loss
  • Reveals are final and cannot be undone
  • There is no customer support recovery mechanism

You should not use Ghostcoin unless you understand and accept these risks.

4. No Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We expressly disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:

  • Merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Accuracy or correctness
  • Security or availability
  • Non-infringement

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

5. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL GHOSTCOIN, ITS AFFILIATES, CONTRIBUTORS, OR REPRESENTATIVES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

This includes, without limitation:

  • Loss of funds or digital assets
  • Loss of access or control
  • Loss of data or secrets
  • Loss of profits or opportunity
  • Network failures or contract bugs

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory and even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

6. Revels and Original Work Designation

Ghostcoin includes systems that allow one-time revelation of content known as Revels.

For Creators

Any drafts, previews, or prior versions of a work created before a Revel are considered preparatory material.

The Revel itself constitutes the original work. The cryptographic commitment, blockchain timestamp, and reveal event establish the definitive version.

For Viewers

By revealing a Revel, you acknowledge that:

  • Any screenshot, recording, photograph, or reproduction you create is a copy
  • Copies do not constitute the original work
  • Only the cryptographically verified Revel constitutes the original

This designation applies to all Revels, including text, images, and other media.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service in violation of applicable law
  • Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Exploit vulnerabilities or misuse infrastructure
  • Reverse engineer smart contracts or interfaces beyond permitted use
  • Use the Service for illegal activity, including financial crimes
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent affiliation

We do not monitor usage but reserve the right to restrict access to interfaces if necessary.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ghostcoin, its affiliates, contributors, and representatives from any claims, losses, or liabilities arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of third-party rights
  • Content or actions you initiate through the Service

9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are effective immediately upon posting.

Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
